| $295,000.00 |
33 year old who
had just had her third child had a very
rare heart complication from the
pregnancy called peri-partum
cardiomyopathy. This was properly
diagnosed and treated at a metropolitan
hospital. The patient very quickly
responded to treatment and although the
heart condition was potentially serious,
the patient was discharged home. The
major issue in the case was whether or
not proper communication between the
hospital, the cardiomyopathy clinic and
the patient occurred before discharge.
Unfortunately, the day after discharge,
the patient has a very rare heart event
at home and passed away. After
significant discovery and with no claim
of negligence in the actual medical
management of the condition, but only in
communication, we were successful in
obtaining settlement for the family |

an adrenal gland tumor. The patient
passed away. Substantial defense
considering five treating or consulting
physicians made the same error |

single lady having only symptomatic care
by a family doctor’s office over the

There was a significant issue of proper
compliance by the patient. The patient
suffered a diabetic coma and died. A
settlement was achieved on behalf of
