Referring Lawyers

Nearly all of John Alton’s results reflected in “Verdicts & Settlements” were for clients who were referred to him by other lawyers to handle personal injury, medical malpractice and wrongful death cases. His reputation in the legal community was initially established as an attorney for defendants. As soon as John Alton “switched sides” in 1994, lawyers familiar with his experience and expertise began to refer him clients.

With the client’s consent John Alton enters into contracts with referring attorneys in accordance with the Ohio Rules of Professional Conduct. Referring lawyers can be assured that all deadlines, statutes of limitations and court dates are met. John Alton maintains the highest level of competence and integrity throughout the litigation.

Clients receive individualized attention and are kept informed as their case progress. John Alton is flexible regarding the degree of your involvement in a case you refer to him. The ethical rules permit you to have no more than minimal involvement as long as you agree to share in professional responsibility, and the client agrees to the co-counsel arrangement.
